Cisco Catalyst 9000 switches use flexible Software Database Manager (SDM) ASIC templates to enable universal deployments by leveraging the UADP’s ability to create resources to optimize table sizes for different places in the network. Based on how the switch is used in the network, an appropriate SDM ASIC template may be selected to configure the switch for specific features. Catalyst 9500X models Cisco Catalyst 9500X models support the following SDM ASIC templates • Default (core) • Custom Table 17 describes the default SDM ASIC template for the Catalyst 9500X models.
