C H A P T E R 1 SIP Standard Line Interface This chapter describes the external interface for Cisco Unified Communications Manager (Unified Communications Manager) SIP line-side devices. It highlights SIP primitives that are supported on the line-side interface and describes call flow scenarios that can be used as a guide for technical support and future development. This document describes the Unified Communications Manager SIP line interface from an external interface point of view. This chapter includes these sections: • Features Supported in Respective Releases, on page 1 • Definitions/Glossary, on page 3 • Standard Interface Compliance Summary, on page 4 • SIP Message Fields, on page 18 • Standard Feature Scenarios, on page 26 • Enhanced Interface Compliance Summary, on page 51 Features Supported in Respective Releases Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Release 15 Release 15 and SUs contained no new features that impacted the SIP line messaging standard information for Cisco Unified Communications Manager. Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Release 14 With this release, Cisco Unified Communications Manager introduces the following feature for SIP lines: • Call Persistency Registration—LTE to Wi-Fi Support, on page 51 Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Release 12.5(x) The release 12.5(x) does not provide any new or changed SIP line interface enhancements.
