utils remotesyslog set protocol tls This command configures the protocol for communication with the remote syslog server as Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.2 or 1.3 on the system. TLS enables Unified Communications Manager and IM and Presence Service to establish a secure connection with syslog servers. This enables Unified Communications Manager and IM and Presence Service to comply with Common Criteria guidelines. TLS 1.3 is offered on this enterprise from Release 15SU2 onwards. Note • Ensure that the syslog server supports the minimum TLS version (1.2 or 1.3) supported. • In Common Criteria Mode, strict host name verification is implemented. Hence, it is required to configure the server with a fully qualified domain name (FQDN) which matches the certificate. Note Restart the node for the changes to take effect. utils remotesyslog set protocol tls Command Modes Administrator (admin:) Requirements Command privilege level: 4 Allowed during upgrade: No Applies to: Unified Communications Manager and IM and Presence Service on Unified Communications Manager A security certificate has to be uploaded from the syslog server to the tomcat trust store on Unified Communications Manager and IM and Presence Service. utils remotesyslog show protocol This command shows whether the protocol for communication with remote syslog server is TCP or UDP on the system. utils remotesyslog show protocol Command Modes Administrator (admin:) Requirements Command privilege level: 0 Allowed during upgrade: No Command Line Interface Reference Guide for Cisco Unified Communications Solutions, Release 15 and SUs 343 Utils Commands utils remotesyslog set protocol tls
