We recommend that you use a different username for the Cisco Unified Communications Operating System Administration and the Cisco Unified CM Administration interfaces. Note Administrator Account You use the Administrator Account user name and password to log in to the following areas: • Cisco Unified Communications Operating System Administration • Disaster Recovery System • Command Line Interface To specify the Administrator Account user name and password, follow these guidelines: • Administrator Account user name—The Administrator Account user name must start with an alphabetic character and can contain alphanumeric characters, hyphens, and underscores. • Administrator Account password—The Administrator Account password must be at least eight characters long and can contain alphanumeric characters, hyphens, and underscores. You can change the Administrator Account password or add a new Administrator account by using the command line interface. For more information, see the Command Line Interface Reference Guide for Cisco Unified Communications Solutions. Application User When you install Unified Communications Manager, you must enter an Application User name and password.
