XSI Object Pass Through XSI-enabled IP phones allow applications to directly communicate with the phone and access XSI features, such as manipulate display, get user input, play tone, and so on. To allow TAPI applications access to the XSI capabilities without having to set up and maintain an independent connection directly to the phone, TAPI provides the ability to send the device data through the CTI interface.
